FAQs

What types of photography do you do?

The four main categories of photography I cover (examples found here) include;

  • Business Promotion - Think; photos for your business’s social media, website, posters or any other forms of media.

  • Event Photography - Such as; parties, graduations, shows, speeches.

  • Active lifestyles, Gym & Fitness - Staged / candid gym shoots, active sports and lifestyle.

  • Self / family or couples portraits - Location based shoots, pets included!

However, if you have something else in mind, I’m more than happy to have a chat with you about it and see if it’s something we can provide! so please don’t hesitate to reach out! (I may even be able assist with some photographer recommendations, who may suite your needs).

How much do you charge and what packages do you offer?

That’s a great question! while I do have a general pricing structure, I don’t typically advertise a one-size-fits-all price list for a number of reasons.

  • Every project is unique - Your photography needs are specific, they may not fit around an hourly rate.

  • Tailored experience - I want to fully understand your vision and desired final product. This allows me to create a customised package, that reflects your needs, budget and complexity of the shoot.

  • Valuing your investment - Photography is an investment, and I want to ensure you feel confident in your choice. By discussing your needs, I can explain the value proposition of different packages, so you know exactly what you’re getting for your budget.

I also understand the desire for transparency and weighing up your potential options. If you give me a brief idea of the type of photography you’re interested in, I can provide a general starting point for pricing, based on your needs. Head over to the contact page to get started!

What happens after our shoot & how do I receive the photos?

So after our shoot, I typically allow for around 7-14 days to sift through them all, picking out the best of the best and getting them all edited up nicely for you. However, (subject to time) arrangements can be made to send over a small number of edits/previews relatively quickly. (For those who wish to post any celebratory social media posts on the day!) Once finished they’ll all be uploaded to your own personal gallery on a website called CloudSpot. An email link with your access will be sent out to you, along with the instructions of how to access and download your photos.

How long do you keep your galleries backed up?

Indefinitely! I typically backup all my photos (raw originals & the final edits) onto a password protected portable hard drive and then I label them up when I move onto the next one. *So I'll always be able to locate them in the future. However, the gallery you initially receive a link to, expires after three months in order to make room for new galleries, but don’t worry, you should receive an email reminder, one week prior, which will give you chance to download any images you might have missed!

** Whilst I do keep everything backed up on portable hard drives, I still encourage all of my clients to download their images in a timely manner & back them up their end. Whether that’s through a cloud based service or on hard drives like myself as bad things can & do happen and I am certainly not immune either! (as much as I wish I could be).

Do you give out your raw original photos?

In short; the answer is no. My raw original photos are essentially an unfinished product and as such, there are a number of reasons why I don’t hand out raw files;

  • Unveiling the Final Vision: Just like a chef wouldn't give you uncooked food, I want you to experience the photos with my signature editing style. It reflects my artistic vision and brings out the full potential of the image.

  • Protecting the Finished Product: Raw files can be easily manipulated and potentially misrepresent my work. I take pride in delivering high-quality, edited photos that reflect the time and effort put into the shoot.

  • Ensuring Your Satisfaction: Editing allows me to make subtle adjustments for things like lighting, color balance, and minor imperfections. This ensures you receive beautiful, polished photos that you'll cherish.

However, I do also understand that you might have specific preferences. I'm always happy to discuss your vision and adjust my editing accordingly. I tend to do this by sending over 3-5 randomly selected ‘taster’ images, (which are the initial rough edits that go on to form the foundations for the rest of the photos) and it’s here that I like to ask for your feedback/input.
